Bad Blogger

I've been a very bad blogger lately. I think I'm averaging 1 post a month. My kids have been sick one right after another and I was sick this past week. I am now starting to feel better and ready to get moving. I am getting ready to start working {again} on refinishing a headboard and footboard for my little princess. I am in the sanding and prepping stage. I think that is about 75% of the work! I will post before and after pictures when I am finished. I would also like to start a "thirfty find/project of the week" series. I'll keep you posted...soon!

Aunt Susie's Quilts

Paul's Aunt Susie is a very talented artist. She does amazing paintings and silkscreens. The last few years she has made these beautiful quilts. She had an exhibit last month at the Springville Art Musuem.

"Fall Aspen"

"The Old Snag"

I wish I could remember the name of this one because I love the detail of the leaves.

"Last Leaves of Autumn"

Onr of my favorites, "Weeping Willow"

"Survival"

I (puffy) Heart the Dollar Tree!

Look at the cool loot I scored from the Dollar Tree! Cars Valentine's for Jack, pretty Valentine ribbon, some cute hair bows for Sophia. I also found all of the princess party stuff for Sophia's birthday coming up soon. And the yummiest find, heart marshmallows for Valentine's day hot chocolate!

Grandma's Cabin

Last weekend my in-law's offered to have the kids sleep over at the cabin that they are building above Mt. Pleasant.

The kids had a lot of fun riding on the snowmobiles.

Alex is old enough to drive one by himself now.

And this is where Paul and I went:

Across the street from this:

Ahhhhhhh, peace and quiet. Thanks Mom and Mark!

Friday, January 2, 2009

I know it's technically Friday but I've been up cleaning my kitchen floor for the first time since the crazy Christmas break.

I am thankful for the realization that I CANNOT do it all. It is impossible. This is finally starting to sink into my perfectionist brain.

I am thankful for a new calling into the cub scouts as a wolf leader. I love the boys and I am excited to have some time with Max without my other kids.

Last of all, my little princess...isn't she the sweetest?
